★PROPERTIES OF ZEOLITE POWDER
The main component of zeolite is silica. It has many well-arranged crystal caves and channels, and contains a large number of ions and is very active, so zeolite powder is a good carrier of mineral trace elements. It is also silicate minerals with crystal water and contains alkali metal and alkaline earth metal. Because of its unique functions of ion exchange, adsorption and catalysis, zeolite also contains a variety of macroelements and microelements, which can adsorb virosin in aquatic animals to promote metabolism and improve disease resistance and immunity, also good effects on growth of animal and enhance FCR.
★FUNCTIONS OF ZEOLITE POWDER
◇Used as active functional filler: Zeolite is made by deep processing, and is mainly used in fields of plastics, rubber, artificial leather and other industries as functional fillers to instead of light calcium carbonate. The performance of artificial leather produced with this new type filler is twice that of the national standard. In the production of acid and alkali resistant PVC hard and soft boards and series products, the dosage of filler is twice as much as that of light calcium carbonate, and their properties meet or exceed the requirements of national standard GB4454-84, so it can greatly reduce the production cost and improve product quality. When used in plastic products, its strength is increased by more than 20%. Used in papermaking industry, when making newsprint, it can replace talc powder and have a higher visibility.
◇Used in feed: Zeolite powder is mainly used as feed additive due to its characteristics of adsorption and ion exchange. It can absorb ammonia and fix nitrogen, delay the passage of nutrients through the digestive tract, absorb harmful substances in the intestine, and improve the digestive function. Furthermore, it can supply a variety of macroelements and microelements for livestock and poultry, increase weight gain and CFR. Recommended mix rate is 5% .
Zeolite contains a variety of macroelements and microelements essential for the growth of fish, shrimp and crab. Most of these elements exist in the form of exchangeability ion and soluble base, which are easy to be absorbed and utilized. At the same time, zeolite has a variety of catalysis on biological enzymes. Therefore, the application of zeolite in fish, shrimp and crab feed has the functions of promoting metabolism and growth, enhancing disease resistance, increasing survival rate, regulating body fluid and osmotic pressure, maintaining acid-base balance, purifying water, and preventing mildew.
◇Used as water treatment agent: Zeolite has unique functions of adsorption, screening, exchange of anion and cation, and catalytic properties because of its many apertures, uniform tubular channels and cavities with large intenal surface area. It can absorb ammoniacal nitrogen, organic matter and heavy metals in water, effectively reduce the toxicity of hydrogen sulfide at the bottom of ponds, regulate pH value, increase dissolved oxygen in water, provide sufficient carbon for phytoplankton growth, and enhance the photosynthesis intensity of water, it is also a good micronutrient fertilizer.
◇Used as construction materials of fishing ponds: Zeolite has many inner pores with very strong adsorption ability. When build fishing ponds, we put yellow sand to lay the bottom of ponds, and put zeolite pellet on the upper layer which can promote anion-cation exchange and adsorb harmful substances from water. In this way, the water color can be maintained green or yellow-green all seasons, which can also promote the rapid growth of fish and improve the economic benefits of aquaculture.
◇Application of zeolite powder for soil improvement
1) Soil amendments: This product is a new type of biological preparation which meets the requirements of ecological agriculture. It contains new generation of beneficial microorganisms and a variety of metabolic active substances to promote ion exchange, regulate pH value, and have good adsorption and substitution ability, also can make soil purification, improve its physicochemical characters and biological activities, eliminate soil compaction, and enhance soil performance of heat, moisture, fertility preservation and and air permeability.Therefore, drought resistance, waterlogging resistance and lodging resistance of crops can be improved by it.
2) Improve soil structure and enhance soil fertility: The beneficial ingredients of zeolite multiply in large quantities around the root system of crops, makes the interaction of microorganisms, soil and crops in the best state. The effective substance secreted by microorganism is conducive to the formation of soil aggregate structure, and can make the soil loose, breathable, water and fertilizer preservation, promote root growth, and improve root nutrients absorption capacity. At the same time, it can effectively decompose nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other substances fixed by soil, transform them into nutrients that can be directly absorbed and utilized by crops, and improve the effective utilization rate of fertilizers.
